Universal Music Group has announced the launch of Def Jam Africa to support the best in African hip-hop and culture across the continent.
The label kick started with some of Africa’s most decorated artists and MC’s such as; Vector, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Larry Gaaga, Boity, Nadia Nakai, Tellaman, Tshego and Ricky Tyler. The label will have offices in Johannesburg, South Africa and Lagos, Nigeria, but will house and sign artist talent from across the entire Africa.
